Built for Wildfire Prone Areas

Wildfire risk is not theoretical. Wind-driven embers can travel miles ahead of a fire front, and the roof is the most vulnerable surface on any structure.

At Precision Roofing and Rain Gutters, we do not install minimum-code roofing systems in high-risk areas. We install integrated fire-rated systems designed to resist ember intrusion and reduce ignition risk.

The System Matters More Than the Shingle

Fire resistance is not about brand names.

It is about the entire assembly.

Underlayment. Ventilation. Flashings. Installation details.

A Class A label alone does not guarantee real-world wildfire resilience. The system design does.

What Makes a Fire-Safe Roof System

Fire-Rated Underlayment

Our proprietary fire-rated underlayment provides an added layer of protection beneath the visible roofing material, enhancing resistance to heat and flame spread.

Ember-Resistant Roof Vents

Standard attic vents are one of the most common wildfire entry points.

We install ember-resistant ventilation systems designed to block wind-driven embers while maintaining proper airflow.

Code-Compliant Metal Flashings

Properly installed metal flashings reduce vulnerable gaps at roof-to-wall transitions and penetrations.

Class A Roofing Materials

We install Class A–rated shingles and approved roofing systems tested for fire resistance under ASTM E108 / UL 790 standards.

Fire-Rated Underlayment Is Our Baseline

Fire-rated underlayment serves as a critical secondary barrier beneath your roofing material.

Wildfire resilience shouldn’t be an upgrade. It should be standard. We refuse to install roofing systems that rely on non-fire-rated underlayment, include attic vents vulnerable to ember intrusion, or ignore the very real threat of wildfire exposure. Protection should be built into the system from the start, not added as an afterthought. If it doesn’t align with our fire-safe standards, it’s not a system we’ll put our name on.

Ember-Resistant Vents: A Critical Defense

Attic vents are one of the most common wildfire entry points. Standard vents can allow wind-driven embers to enter attic spaces, where they ignite insulation or framing and cause devastating damage from the inside out. That’s why we install ember-resistant vents engineered to block embers while maintaining proper airflow and ventilation. When paired with fire-rated underlayment, these components work together to significantly improve the resilience of the entire roof system during wildfire events.
